I wish there was a perfect answer to this question. The truth is: If you have been praying and preparing yourself, you will know. There will be signs; you will have peace in your heart. There will be answers to questions and everything will begin to fall in place.
The right one will not take you away from God, your calling and purpose. If you are beginning to feel lost and far from God and his purpose for your life, you are not with the right one. The right one will not make you feel inferior but will make you feel like you can fly and accomplish great things; will spur you on to more than you are.
The right one will understand that marriage is for a purpose and so will seek to find and fulfil that purpose with you. The right one will respect your spirit, soul and BODY; will not rob you of your ‘pride and dignity’ and make you sin against God. John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
The right one will pray, plan, prepare and build with you. The right one will listen to your dreams and dream with you. With the right one you are ‘you’, you don’t have be fake. He/she loves you for YOU. If you are constantly on your toes, not sure what he/she will complain about next, then you are not with the right person. Life is hard enough as it is, why complicate it some more?
The right one will celebrate you and not keep you a secret!!! How does that even work? When you truly love someone, you want to talk to them all the time, be around them and share things with them. How can he/she not be proud of you?
The right one will give his/her time, money, attention and will want to share everything. If he/she only wants to take and take and take….then that is Not THE ONE. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he GAVE his only son….”
May God help us be and find the right ONE!
I know that there have been times I have had needs that were not met from my point of view (as a man), I had prayed and asked God for certain things to happen which never did.
True entrepreneurship involves a mindset of solving problems. But real success goes well beyond the bottom line to impacting lives and leaving a legacy.
As a tradition/routine every New Year, most of us draw up a list of “New year resolutions” which most times we do not adhere to. Its important every New Year to live a more Christ-centered life
Did your relationship fail last year? Did you expect a promotion at work and it didn’t come? Did your business suffer loss? Did you make a mistake or bad decision that you wish you didn’t?
Do you need to learn how to implement your ideas, build businesses and impact your community positively? If yes, then I am talking to you.
Sometimes, we judge by popularity or numeric value. That many people are saying it doesn’t certify it. We need to learn how Moses handled a matter and how God dealt with it.
Your marriage is unique to you and your spouse. No one should tell you how to live out your home. You have to figure it out yourself, aligning with God’s word; however you need the ‘YOU’ factor.
Sometimes people tend to use something else (another issue) to express the bitterness, pain, anger, revenge, jealousy etc. in their hearts.
Marriage is a home; a refuge against the outside storms. And like any house, it requires a strong, lasting foundation. If tended to, it will thrive, but if neglected, it will wither and die.
