He has Risen!

Significance of the Death of Jesus Christ

The essence of this day, many have lost it. The gravity of what Jesus did for us.

He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes, we are healed.
Isaiah 53:3-5 NKJV

Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour, there was darkness over all the land. And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
Matthew 27:45-46 NKJV

Why did Jesus have to go through this? Without His death, the sin of this world would not have been taken away.

It is sin that makes people be far from God.

There is much more than forgiveness that the death of Jesus has done.

And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and yielded up His spirit.
Matthew 27:50 NKJV

Jesus is the resurrection and the life

just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many [paying the price to set them free from the penalty of sin].”
MATTHEW 20:28 AMP

just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
Matthew 20:28 NKJV

Your freedom didn’t come cheap, it came at a price.

For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
Romans 5:6 NKJV

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8 NKJV

The penalty for sin was paid, indeed Christ died for us.

He personally carried our sins, so He could die and pay the penalty of sin.

Jesus did appropriations

The cross is horizontal and vertical, meaning Jesus reconciled us to God vertically and reconciled us to each other horizontally.

We give God the glory.

Do you have a relationship with God?

So that when times are difficult, you don’t stand alone but God stands with you. That it might be well with you and that you are fruitful. Jesus came so that you will be released from any sin that has held you back and not allowed you to reach your full potential. If you are this kind of person, say now ‘Jesus please come into my life’.
